Happiness

Each week I will send out some handy tips and useful exercises for adults learning to navigate and use the English language. Please feel free to share this newsletter with friends and colleagues.

What is the key to happiness? This is a topic that has been explored across timelines and borders, and I believe that the answer is different for everyone. For me, I find happiness in the silence; the wag of a tail, the smell of salty air and sand squishing between my toes. I find it in gratitude, helping others and accomplishing a goal. I find joy in a good conversation, a glass of red wine and a theatrical performance so good it makes my skin tingle.

So when everything seems to be in chaos and you don't know which way is up, take some time to find your joy. Find it wherever you can, breathe it in and let it fill you up. And sometimes, that’s all it takes to remember that you’re okay—even if just for a moment.
